The 2018-2019 school year is here!
My name is Veronica May, and I am ecstatic to be working with such an intelligent and supportive staff at Arizona Autism Charter School. As Academic Curriculum Supervisor, my focus is on the teachers and students and helping to support the best curriculum and learning opportunities possible. Providing the best education for our students is my priority.
Since I was about eight years old, I knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I love to learn, and love to foster that desire to be a lifelong learner within students. Once I received my Bachelor of Education degree from ASU, I hit the ground running, and have loved every minute of my teaching career. After earning my Master of Education degree from NAU, I worked to hone my skills in the classroom, but had a strong desire to help other teachers, and to share my, “Tricks of the Trade,” which led me here to Arizona Autism Charter School. Having been a classroom teacher for the last fifteen years, I am excited to share my knowledge base with staff in helping them to construct and present the most engaging lessons possible. Being well versed with the Arizona College and Career Readiness Standards, and having worked with a variety of students, I am confident that I support AZACS in continuing to deliver quality education, with exceptional rigor, that is accommodated and differentiated for all of our students.
I am so looking forward to this fantastic school year!
