About Mr. Finney

A native Michiganian, with over 15 years in the medical field beginning in one of the major trauma emergency hospitals in Michigan, Mr. Dwan (or "Mr. D" to our students) and his family have made Arizona their home for over a decade. The move from the Midwest to the "Nation's Valentine" allowed Mr. Dwan's experience in the medical field to develop and transition into the field of Behavioral and Developmental disabilities. A former Director of Developmental Assisted Living Group Homes here in Maricopa County as well as a father whose son is autistic.

Mr. Dwan began AZACS elementary campus as a Lead Paraprofessional for the 2016-2017 school year. With his background and remarkable bond with AZACS families, students, and team, Mr. Dwan has accepted the role as the new Lead Behavior and School Operations Specialist.

"When I started AZACS I was told that every opportunity is a Learning Opportunity. I intend to continue to do that with our students. The 2016-2017 school year has been amazing for me. I have learned so much and enjoy seeing the faces of each of our students every day. In anticipation, I look forward to the continued growth of our school and students for the 2017-2018 school year as well as our revamped Garden that I have been working on with some of my second-grade students. #TEAMAZACS"
