About Ms. Rogers

Elizabeth Rogers is super excited to be teaching 1st grade this year. This is her 3rd year teaching at AZACS!

She graduated from Salem College in North Carolina with her bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education. Throughout college, she worked as a hab/respite tech as well as a respite leader. Elizabeth worked with children from the ages of 3-19 and absolutely loved it! Elizabeth grew up in Cheney, Washington and she loves Starbucks coffee and the Seahawks! She is currently working on getting her masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Some of her favorite things to do are read, craft, play games, and be outside in the nice weather. Elizabeth is always using Pinterest to find creative resources to implement in her classroom! Elizabeth is also our PTO Vice President. She is very excited to take on this role and looks forward to working together with the PTO.

In first grade, we will be explorers, scientists, mathematicians, and authors. Together we will explore science and social studies standards. We will also dive into the world of math, reading, social and life skills in order to help us learn and grow. We are a team, students, parents, teachers, therapists, hab/respite workers and together I believe we can help our children grow and be the best they can be.

A child with Autism is not ignoring you, they are simply waiting for you to enter into their world.
