About Alison Gehrman
Hello! My name is Alison Gehrman, and I am the Life Skills Coach/Transition Manager this year at AZACS. I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education, and will soon graduate with my Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis. I will also take the board exam in December 2021 to earn my Board Certified Behavior Analysis (BCBA) certification.
I have worked in habilitation, respite, special education, and behavior therapy since the day I turned 18, and before that, I worked in self-contained classrooms at the high school I attended in Chandler, AZ, where I also grew up. I love analyzing behaviors and academic achievement and consequently finding the best supports for each individual child. AZACS gives me the opportunity to do this while also preparing students for life after high school!
Outside of work, I am a big fan of DIY crafting, baseball, Orange Theory Fitness, and online shopping. I hope to continue my education and earn a Doctorate degree, but I'm not yet sure which area of special education I want to focus on next... I look forward to my first year in this impressive district and meeting all of the students and families I get to support!
Please email me with any comments, questions, or concerns at any time. You can reach me at email@example.com.
Thanks for reading, and here's to a relatively "normal" school year!!
